Question for those with Vortech elbow

I'm planning on replacing my torn stock elbow with a satin Vortech aluminum one for 2 reasons: One, it won't tear, and two, I want the intake to be rounded without bumps (so the 1LE is out) My question is: Are these elbows a direct replacement with plumed holes for the different wires and sensors or do they have to be drilled?

if you have a vented opti, you may have to drill a small hole, otherwise its bolt up and go

That's not totally true, you have to thread your Air Intake Temp. Sensor so it can screw into the elbow, and you may have to cut the length down depending on which CAI you have so it fits good.

I heard some people said that with the Vortech elbow they had to mess around with their CAI......I don't have it so I can't confirm.

I had to cut a couple inches off the elbow to get my MOroso to fit. YOu also have to drill and thread a hole for the vented opti line, and then tap the IAT sensor. None of this takes more than a few minutes if you have the tools.

Heres what I did: I had to cut 1 1/2" off the elbow(SLP cai)

I capped the IAT hole and relocated forward.
I drilled a hole in the corner of the elbow for the opti vent
The IAT I installed in the air pump outlet and used a mini K&N

IAT relocated:

Elbow:notice no wires for the IAT:
