question for harmonic balancer
To replace the cap/rotor, you do not have to remove the entire harmonic damper. You leave the hub on the crank, and just remove the three bolts that hold the pulley/damper on the hub. When it left the factory, that was a simple slip fit, and the pulley/damper would fall off when the bolts were removed. But with many years of rust, it usually takes a 3-jaw puller to remove the pulley/damper from the hub,

On the 96/97 pulley/damper, there are threaded holes in the "spokes" for pulling the damper.
Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods? That way people don't have to guess to provide you with the correct answers.
