Post Having a problem with getting my balancer far enough back on my LT1

Ok, I just did a CAM/Head/a bunch of other stuff swap on my car. When putting back the Harmonic Balancer, it went back when cyl 1 was at TDC, but it still needs to go back about a 1/4 of an inch. (it ate one of my belts last night and when looking around, I noticed that the balancer was sticking out a litting.) How do I get it to not turn when I torque it down? Any ideas would be GREATLY appriciated.

I just used a long crow bar and wedged it through the spokes and under the frame, being careful not to pinch anything,,then CRANKED DOWN ON THE BOLT.

Lightbulb How to prevent balancer from turning.

Slip a C clamp between the spokes and hook it over the stabilizer bar directly under the balancer. Worked great for me!
