question about TDC

im trying to readjust my lifters by myself, and i was wondering if the point on the harmonic balancer points straight up for tdc. i cant turn the crank and watch the rockers at the same time. Any suggestions would be helpful. thanks

This assumes the HB is in its oem position. It could have been install differently.

I remove the TB rubber intake/MAF and use a long ratchet with a small extention on the socket to reach the crank bolt from above. I can easily trun the crank and watch the lifter positions to determine TDC.
