Question about my Cam/Rockers/Springs

Alright my 388 LT1 has this valve trane setup.....

CC468 .584/.579 (specs w/ stock rockers)
1.6 Ratio Comp Cams Roller Tip Rockers
Crane Cams 10308 Dual Valve Springs
LT4 Lifters (weak point)
Comp Cams Magnum Pushrods (Hardened)

Alright, these are the things I wanted to know.....

Cam: what's my lift with 1.6 Rocker????
Springs: what's the lift limit on these??? (Can't find specs anywhere, I think it's .600/.600)
Lifters: What's the best set of lifters I can put on this thing? Haven't heard anything good about Comp "R"s)

Those are things I need to know, some people say the 10308 springs walk but they don't on my car and have no prob taking it up to 150 mph.

Thanks for any input.

Re: Question about my Cam/Rockers/Springs

There nothing wrong with the lifters you have. The oem liftes will do just fine for your setup. Now if you were to upgrade lifters I would go with some Morels' or some Rhodes lifters. Other than that everything looks good.

Re: Question about my Cam/Rockers/Springs

Call Crane for spring spec.
Stock lifters will be fine if in GOOD shape.
The lift is right as stated by arcticz

Re: Question about my Cam/Rockers/Springs

No check the specs online, and also I have the CAM CARD and it says that's the lift with stock rockers. Here's proof............

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

As stated:

Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.584 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.579 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.584 int./0.579 exh. lift

Re: Question about my Cam/Rockers/Springs

Ok let's go this route. If you have the cam card what is the lobe lift? Then multiply that times 1.5 and then 1.6 and see what you come up with.

Re: Question about my Cam/Rockers/Springs

The card reads:

Lobe lift: 389/386

Figuring as you said: 1.5 Ratio = .584/.579
1.6 Ratio = .622/.618

If I chose 1.7 Ratio = .661/.656

Re: Question about my Cam/Rockers/Springs

Here is a link to Comp cam. Scroll down to the XFI cams and you see that they're using 1.6 rockers for that lift.

Re: Question about my Cam/Rockers/Springs

Well I guess that's what's bad about summit, they always have FALSE descriptions of their products. Thanks for clearing that up, but even the cam card says that.
