When I first did my fan switch, I used a SPDT switch instead of the DPDT switch it calls for. So, I was grounding either one or the other wire, but never both at the same time. I would get either both fans on low one way, or the passenger side fan only on high the other way. Once I switched to the DPDT and connected it the way the diagram shows, it works correctly. If the swtich you have for some reason is only grounding one of the two wires, it would behave as you describe. I froget which color does what, but that would make sense.

I have been at work all day and in my free time it has been pouring rain, so I haven't had any free time today to work on it. But I plan to put alot of the suggestions you two have given a try to see what the possible problem could be.

I will find out more of what is going on and give you a progress report tommorrow and see what I need to do from there. I am glad to know that if I have puzzling questions that there is a place that I can get fast answers.

Sometimes the answers can be just as puzzling.

Yeah tell me about it.....

Luckily I work at a parts store and have a good bit of friends who are mechanics that can help me out if I get lost on the job. But I am the kind of guy who likes to learn abou this stuff as I go so I spend alot of time researching the things I do to my car. This is usually how my luck goes, something tears up or isn't working right and it is never the simple problem or the obvious one but it it some little part that takes forever to trace the problem back to. But I guess that is how it goes when almost the entire car is run of electronics.

Thanks alot guys
