I am currently without a fast car, still has nothing to do with who knows what. Owning a fast car doesnt mean you know anything about them.

Re: Put LT's in, car is not faster

The thread starter spun his rod bearing the same day this thread was started, no wonder his car wasnt faster, he forgot to put the oil back in But seriously i think there's been enough arguing. Longtubes add more power than ANY other bolt on. Superchargers are not considered bolts ons and neither are turbos. The closest mod to adding as much power as LTs are 1.6rs and even then you need new valve springs and probably still wont gain as much hp.

LOL I swear to God both of my printers have mice living in them. No matter what i try to print they never get caught. The one printer has actually stopped working because of its furry inhabitants.

If he was hanging with a car before, he is not going to walk away from the same car after bolting on a set of headers.
The only way computer tuning on a stock car is going to net you 1/2 a second in the 1/4 is if you remove the brick from behind the gas pedal and let off the parking brake. If you want to backup your claim I'll be waiting for PM's from either Brian at PCM4less or Ion from Madwolf's Tuning. I have never heard claims from anyone, excluding you, for 1/2 a second gain on a stock car with tuning.

As I have said before there are numerous folks on this board amoung other places that have seen gains of at least 1/2 second and/or up to 5mph in the 1/4 from longtube headers, hell even midlength headers. Not everyone mind you but a hell of alot more compared to those who got 1/2 second from tuning *cough* None *cough*

I see almost everyone saying i dont know what I am talking about has HUGE mods like CAI and lt4 knock modules, that explains it.
you say it yourself...3/10 is a lot of time for just throwong on headers. Now get a tune, who knows what you'll drop. Get that same tune without headers though and you wont gain as much power. You can't just say a tune is big for performance ... it is all relevant to what you have done; even a stock car can gain 10-15 with a good tune. So headers are not a waste, but one of the best mods for our cars due to performance/sound/appearance.

Re: Put LT's in, car is not faster

Sounds like your headers are broken...that is why you didn't get the performance gains you were expecting...pacesetter is known for making broken headers... by broken I mean sometimes the pipes aren't always 3/4's like they say on the box... you should definantly send those headers to me. I"ll put them on my car and drive around with them for a couple of years and call you up to let you know how thier doing... just let me know...
