So I've heard of this being done, but I can't find much information on it. I already have a laptop, so what software would I need?

Also, I have a 93 so it's using the old computer stuff, will that be a problem?

 

93s have a replacable chip which requires extra hardware to deal with. The 94-5 stuff is cheap and easy to reprogram just hooking to the ALDL port under the dash. The 96+ stuff reprograms from under the dash too but the software to do it is more expensive.

 

You have to have chips burned for your '93. so tuning with a laptop is out of the question. At least as it would be on a 94+ car.
