Problems wiring reverse lockout

I did a T56 swap a few months ago and still haven't gotten the reverse lockout to work like it should. I wired the silinoid into the D6 port and now it stays open all the time, I can go into reverse at any speed now, its never locked out.

Pull the solenoid out and test it with 12V to see that it works.

What would that prove? What I'm trying to say is it doesn't lock me out of reverse at all. I can go into reverse at any speed.

if power is applied then it will lock you out. He's sayin check to see if the solenoid is bad. If it is then you can go into reverse anytime.

Re: Problems wiring reverse lockout

Isn't it when power is supplied to it that it lets you into reverse? When I had the tranny out of the car I couldnt get it into reverse because no power was being supplied to it. And I had the wire on the wronge wire on the PCM before and it would always lock me out of reverse so I don't think the silinoid is bad.

brown wire is 12v and the pink wire is grd. both were part of the 20 pin connector to the auto tranny. i can only assume the wire colors did not change from my 96.

After 6 months I finally wired mine up. Tired of 2 fisting it into reverse. Seems to work fine... did you hook the ground into the D6 of the BLUE connector on the PCM? Switched power to the other?

I'll take it apart and switch the wires to see if that fixes it. I forgot what I wired the other wire into but I'm going to have to go back in and check..
