Unhappy problems with new headers...

i just recently got done installing my new jet-hot LT's and yesterday was the first day i got to drive the car with them on. the car sounds awesome i love it and wouldnt change it at all, but the only problem is that it feels like i actually lost power. the car feels like it doesnt even have headers on it and on the highway i have no top end at all. now ive checked everything under the hood and all plugs/wires are ok from what i can see. also on top of the less power problem for some reason the tranny feels like its not shifting as hard as it used to. my tranny used to snap your head back when it shifted and now it feels like a slush box, and someitmes if i floor it the computer doesnt down shift like it usaully does and it will go through the whole gear that im in. anybody had this problem after their LT install?? iany input or advice?? i really dont know what the prolbem could be. any help would be appreciated, thanx.

Only thing I can think of is if you didn't install a LT4 KM then it could be pulling timing....but that doesn't explain the transmission problem though...

naww i got one of those before i even installed the headers. the SES light is on, but i figured it was only for the fact that my cats are gone now, do u think that could have something to do with it?

I had a similar problem.

Running the same tuning, I lost 4HP installing the headers.

I've recently gotten the opinion of another person and he believes it to be my opti.

get your computer tuned for the LT's that may help... I had my computer tuned and headers put on all at once so I don't know what it is like without it... I saw noticable increases in power after my LT install... I don't know what to tell you.

I thought I lost a lot of low end torque with the LTs but I could really feel it pull in the high rpm range. I had it tuned for the long tubes and it seemed to help the low end. A tune can also adjust your tranny so it shifts harder.
