Problem since headers
Since I put on my long tube headers (with emissions) except obviously cats, I have a strange problem when the car is cold
It runs a little rough, stumbles and surges in the first few blocks. It prefers lower rpms during this time. When it goes in to closed loop, it runs like a champ. But if it sits for ten minutes, even though the temp is up it still exhibits the same, but not as bad, symptoms. It also is throwing the EGR malfuntion code but I cleaned the EGR, vacuum tested it, and checked the solenoid. All OK. I checked the O2s on auto tap as well and they and the sims in the rear are moving like normal. My mechanic thinks it is the sims, but I disagree as this started before the sims were installed. I have LT1edit now, and plan to turn the EGR off. What do you guys think this is, and do you think turning off the EGR will fix it? TIA
