Clutch making "chafing" sound
Clutch making "chafing" sound
hey guys, okay here's what happened: ('99 Z28, M6 rebuilt 20k miles ago, new clutch same time) I was messing around and raced my friend from one light to the next pretty hard for about 2 blocks, then we jumped on the fwy for about 45 minutes. when i got to my desination i noticed it was extreamly hard to shift. after about 2 hours we left that location and i had a hell of a time getting it into any gear, but finally did, and noticed that if i rev'ed slightly just before i shifted, it popped right into gear. by the time i got home (another 45 min) the problem had completely gone away, and it was like nothing had ever happend. coming home from work yesterday, i could hear an odd noise and it sounded like from the clutch, like the sound sandpaper on wood makes. you could only hear it when stopped with the car engaged in 1st, and even louder when engaging the clutch leaving a stop sign, and at that time, almost with a bit of a fluid rushing sound.
what the hell did i break this time?!?!
