problem with fuel pump install..need some gm part#'s too

Ok so yesterday i went to install my racetronix fuel system. What a freakin hassle. First off..i had to reuse my old ribbed line because the line i got was a standard fuel line..also im not sure if the pump is even in right..if anyone knows please tell me..when i put the pump into the bottom of the bucket..there was no O ring to seal the inlet of the pump to the pickup in the bottom of the bucket..is this ok?...also the old ribbed fuel line is just pressedonto the outlet ..it was very hard to get this on there as the lip of the outlet fits in the rib of the fuel line..not sure if this will leak. THEN on the evap(i think its called) theres a big hose...and i dont remember where it does..unless its just a vent line..but i cant tell..i have one line that goes to the lines on the body of the car, one that goes to the fuel tank and then an extra one. Oh and i need the part numbers to the rear hard fuel lines that "snap" into the tank. makes me wanna blow my car up

Ok I am not sure about what you mean on a couple things you bought a racetronix lt1 fuel pmp kit. It should have come with a new flex tube ,that all you need to hook up to the metal line is the old black slip lock fitting off of the old flex tube. The O ring, I cannot remeber if mine had one but I think it did. The other lines to the fuel sending unit that you need to hook up should be pretty obvious there size would indicate where they need to go. I would look at racetronix's website and look at the pictures they have. If you got shorted some items with your kit, I would call the place you ordered it from. good luck

oh yeah also if you just press the flex tube on the metal line and put a clamp on it it will leak causing the fuel to bleed off and cause hard starting. Ask me how I know that You must reuse the old lock fitting .

well i used the old flex tube...and when i pulled that redplastic cover off the bottom of the pump there was no Oring. And the filter didnt fit on the bottom of the bucket(its the same one as in the pics on the site) so i took the little rubber fittin that the old pump used to the bottom of the bucket and stuck that on the outside and the filter to that.

for that EVAP can..can it be deleted some how? with all those hoses running off of it?

Re: problem with fuel pump install..need some gm part#'s too

The pump should have came with the flex tube allready attached to it ! weird mine did The filter sock should have fit right on it is tight as hell but should have gone on it's like a meatal fitting that you press onto the end of the bucket just like the old filter that was on it before. As far as the evap can I didn't screw with mine I just hooked the lines back up the way they were. Why would you want to delete the evap canister?

I think the years of cars are what is confusing me. Might be dif on a 93 than 94. Someone who has changed fuel pumps on a 93 chime in here.

You did not get the Racetronix FLT1-FPA.
Contact the dealer from whom you purchased your pump assembly to get the right one. The one you have can not be converted for F-LT1 application by the end user.

BTW where did you purchase your fuel pump kit (not the harness)?
