after installing my long tube hookers and y pipe I am having trouble in the rain..I checked for leaks in the hose to the weep hole and there is no leaks...the optic spark unit looks fine..it seems to have no cracks....has anyone had this problem?
I have a 97 Z28. It seems like it is not firing right and i lose all power..any suggestions?

 

Check for burned/broke wires. That's what happened to me on my LT install years ago.

 

did you keep all of the stock heat shielding?

 

Went though two sets of wires before I got smart and ran OTVC
You can route stock wires away from headers safely if you get creative.
I know there are a few board members who've figured it out.

 

I bought this Z28 from my uncle..all i know is that they took out the smog pump..as far as the heat shield I am not sure...

 

You have burnt wires gauranteed, i went through 5 wires when i did LT's.

 

I have not burned 1 plug wire yet, granted I did burn the starter wire. Im running stock plugs, with heat shields on everyone
