How much for labor only on an install?
Last time I paid a shop to install this equipment on my former Lightning they charged me about $150-$160 3 years ago.
Today, I want to get it installed on my F body. YOu figure about the same/more, or is it more complicated?
I want to install
head unit
door component speakers
rear speakers ( I have them already so guess I'll throw them in there)
Woofer (solo 10") don't even know how they would install it.
1 Punch 300
1 4 channel amp (need to buy)
I don't want the rear cluttered up, as I use my car as a daily driver and need to put groceries etc as needed back there, so might have them install the amps in some typ of enclusure (heat might be a problem).
Oh , and my cd changer...
sounds like too much for under $200 or sounds about right?

could be cheaper if you do it yourself. You can do the HU, speakers and run the wires very easily and plenty of people to help you here. The box in the other hand depends on how good you are and if you have the proper tools.

Guess, you get lazy about doing the work after a while. I used to do it myself for years (no fancy amp racks, just normal hu, amp, speakers, etc...), then decided to start paying for it 3-4 vehicles ago... You start figuring cost to pay someone to do it VS. Time you spend doing the job.
Maybe that is the push I need, just install hu, speakers, amps/ x-over, and let THEM build the box (I got the solo in its box right now, but it isn't the right fit for this car), and make a decent amp rack( you know wood behind rug, etc.
