Problem
Problem
Ok so the car is running rough again and i checked the fuel pressure and it holds at 41 psi. I just did plugs and wires and none of the wires are burnt.
When i was driving on the freeway going up a hill the car started to stumble. Yesterday i checked all of the injectors and they seem to be pulsing right. The opti is new and the coil.
What i have come to think it could be is improperly gapped plugs. I gapped all of the plugs to .60 because the guy at checker told thats what it was at but then i found out that they are suppose to be gapped at .50. Could that be the problem i plan on taking them out and re gapping it but they have been in there for a good 200 miles.
Should i just buy new ones and would that be the cause of it running like ****. Im thinking of doing a compression test when i pull the plugs back out. What do you guys think any input would be appreciated

oops thats what i ment thanks for the correction. Also all of the fluids are full and its running really rough.
Would the improper gap be the reason for it running rough?
The way i routed my wires 2 wires touch each other could it be arching between the wires?
Also what is the compression suppose to be for the cylinders?

up a hill is high load, and high load is very often an indication of a secondary ignition problem
gap your plugs correctly, and if the issue is still there i would be looking at the plug wires, just because they are not burnt does not mean they are fine.
also, scan it for codes just to be sure
i would not be doing a compression test yet, but the readings should all be relative to eachother

my educated guess is that these are the problem, mine lasted about a month - and the coil wire lasted only a week
i hear so many problems with these, you best bet to replace them with a set of msd wires (cut to fit) and re use your OVC looms

They are platinum rapid fires and i just looked it up and they are supposed to be gapped at .60. Here is the link to what they are http://checkerauto.com/ProductDetail...pe=960&PTSet=A
Where can i get the cut to fit or order it from?
