Primary Lengths?

Does any one know the primary lengths on TPIS mid-length headers? Thanks.

Alright thank you. I'm just trying to figure out how much header wrap I'm going to need. I guess I'll need about 35 feet if the average is about 18".

From what I've heard, header wrap will cause headers to prematurely degrade. Probably because it keeps all the exhaust heat inside the header, which is a good thing for a race car, but unless you've got money to replace your headers every so often, I'd stick with a good ceramic coating of some kind instead. Just my opinion, though.

It doesn't cause them to degrade, but you can't put any protective coating on them like Jet Hot since it eats up the coating, so unless they are stainless they are going to rust faster since there is nothing protecting them.

I have Jet-hot coated headers. So should I pass on the header wrap? I want to put it on my car so I don't have to worry about my spark plug wires as much as I do now.

I would just route them over the valve cover's if you haven't done so already. Don't cover up those pretty headders.

"Degrading" and "rusting faster" are one and the same are they not? Or should we say "oxidation"?

I wouldn't recommend wrapping a mild steel header. It will speed the oxidation of the metal by keeping the header hotter and retaining moisture.

Just my 2 centavos.

I have over the valve cover wires, and I really dislike how they looks. So, I'm going back to the stock locations. I guess I'll just end up taking my good time while installing the plugs.
