Possible screwup. I think. Info needed.

Ok so I was changing the seal on the timing cover side of the waterpump drive shaft. and I could not get the opti out of the way. so was trying to get the drivebelt pulley off the crank and the opti was already loose. and the crank moved!!!! so now my question is am I screwed? am I gonna have to find top dead center and all that before I can put the opti back on? are they linked some how like a distributor? please say i did not f up.

Thanks

Ed

If your timing chain is still connected, there's no problem. Realign the back of the opti on the camshaft dowel pin and you'll be fine.

You can attempt to lightly tap it with a hammer. It's probably much easier to pull it off with a puller though.
