possible pcm problem

I have another thread about a similar question but this one is more concerning my pcm. All at the same time, my electric waterpump went bad, my fans dont turn on, and my check engine light came on too, but when I go to scan it, the damn code reader will not even turn on. I know the code reader is good because I tried it on other cars. What is wrong?

Re: possible pcm problem

More than likely your DLC lost power. Sounds like you have a bad fuse.

Re: possible pcm problem

The DLC is the data link connector that you plug the scanner into. Assuming you have an OBDII????? Since you didn't give us details as what year you have. the fuse you want to check is the 25 amp fuse in the I/P fuse box.

If you have a 93 to 95 then you have another problem.

Re: possible pcm problem

well considering you have fuse problems, did you check the 25amp fuse #7 in the underhood fuse panel?
