i have a 95 impala ss. ive already modded the motor with a mid size cam from comp cams 1.52 rockers springs bbk headers custom 3 inch x pipe slp exhaust with cut outs granetelli maf sensor k&n cold air intake underdrive pulley 2400 stall. I'm planning on replacing the intake with a ported one and getting a 58mm TB. my question is can i make that swap without porting the heads or should i port and polish heads also?

 

Without a good set of ported heads, a 58mm throttle body is overkill. It's probably not necessary with anything under 450-500HP at the flywheel. Ditto with a "ported intake". The runners are about 3" long. There's not much to "port".

If you want to have your heads ported, get the intake ported by the same person.
