I can't answer truly accurately - hot idle is around 25psi for me. At cruise it's around 45-50 .

 

I knew when I started this poll that there were going to be some people a little out of the posted ranges ,so if you want to vote just pick the one that fits the closest. Thanks to everyone who has voted and commented so far.

 

My previous two LT1's I owned had fairly low oil pressure. They were high mileage though. My current one has a high volume oil pump, and the engine only has 30k miles on it, so on this car the pressure rarely drops below 50psi.

 

These are exactly the readings I get as well. Warm idle is about 30 psi or 25 if I've been driving around for a while, but never drops below that. 45-50 psi when I'm cruising on the highway say at about 65 mph.

 

Cold idle: 50psi
Hot idle: 38-40psi
Hot cruise: 50psi
Hot WOT: 60-70psi

Its a fresh 383 with a brand new stock GM pump, stock pressure spring, and 10w-40 oil.

 

once the car warms up, i idle around 15-20, and cruising speeds 35-40. i noticed someone said ealrier that when th ecar was stock they had more oil psi. same case here. i remember it never going under 45. now it always is under that, hevent paid attention undr full throttle. the car has 62k miles

 

ive got a high pressure oil pump, i get about 60psi at idle..

 

Its about 15-20 at hot idle and 39 at cruising...and MAYBE 40 at hot WOT, never more.

 

My motor is using a mellings stock replacement with the factory LT1 spring.

At idle warm it sets just above 25 and under the gas it tops 60.
