po174 only

i got the po174 engine code, bank 2 running lean as everyone knows, now what confuses me is that most people on here have gotten 171 or 172?, with it which is bank 1

im curios as to what could cause it to run lean i ruled out maf sensor since that would affect bank 1 also any places i should check first? I'm gonna be working on this tomorrow trying to figure out what it is check the exhaust is one other thing i have read, anything else i could check would be of great help

p.s. car is still running great, the code only comes on every so often i delete it with my tool when it does so i really don't know what it might be, idles normal also.

The code sets because the weighted average of the long term fuel corrections for the various cells for Bank 2 has exceded +21.9%. You need to get a scanner on it, and see what the average of the long term fuel corrections is for Bank 1. If it's also very high (but not quite past the threshhold required to set P0171), it may indicate a problem that is affecting both banks.

If the average of the long terms for Bank 1 is substantially lower than +20%, you may be able to conclude that it is a problem that only affects Bank 2. But you don't know that until you check the Bank 1 corrections.

Did you compare the Bank 1 long term corrections to the Bank 2 long term corrections?

A full OBD-II scan tool, or OBD-II scanning software.

Apparently you totally ignored my first post

Don't rule out the MAF. I bought a Granatelli MAF once, sent it back because it was setting a lean code (p0171 or p0174, don't remember which) FOR ONE BANK ONLY! One bank can still be the MAF. Follow what Injuneer said and put it on a scanner. If you have swapped the MAF, switch it back to the OE, reset the CEL and see if it comes back.

Fuel injector, Pressure regulator, an actual intake leak.
