Plugs & wires

Im sure yall are sick of answering this question. But mine is a lil bit different
my car has developed a very bad knock and it has 110,XXX miles on it any way so im going to change the plugs and wires since it needs it any way.

my question is will the Ac-Delco wires work fine for me, right now I have the stock manifolds but sometime during this summer im going to be doing a head/cam swap and adding jet-hot Mac mid-length headers.
Will the fit fine with the headers?
and are the BOSCH-PLATINUM+4 any better than the BOSCH-PLATINUM+2, or just plain BOSCH-PLATINUM's?

Thanks for any help
-Matt

I'm running Accel 9000 wires and Bosche platinum plugs in my car. I chose the wires because they were heat reflective (I have uncoated headers) and just the regular bosche platinum plugs. I believe the +2 and +4 plugs are gimmicks.

Alot of people run the NGK plugs but I coudlnt get a hold of those locally.

I have the wires routed in the stock location and everything is working out just fine. Car runs great.

If you look at the link and scroll down, you will see an option for plug wires tailored for our cars. The wires are cut to stock spec and fit perfectly. p/n 110-9037 are the one for our cars.

this is kind of dumb, but I am about to purchase the accel 9000 w/ the part # you gave me for the lt-1s. What I want to know is that that is the whole set of 8 wires. thanks

Yep, plus mine came with 2 extra short "coil wires."

Lightbulb Hmmm try this

I had a knock too. Mostly defined when shifting to 2nd (4L60E) I cleaned my K&N air filter and *poof* not only did the knock go away, I probably picked up ~20HP in the process! Hope this helps

I just replaced the platinum plugs with the Bosch platinum 4 plugs and I think they make a nice difference. Of course I am comparing old to new but they run great. I used them on my Blazer and they made a huge difference there. The Blazer was much more responsive.

I also replaced stock wires with Taylor wires which migh be contributing to the improved performance. Just my .02.
