Which plugs for heads and cam car?
Which plugs for heads and cam car?
In my search to locate my missing 80 hp, I am going to change the plugs and wires to see if that fixes the problem. What plugs do you think I should be running on a stock bottom end heads and cam car? See sig for the mods. I'm running about 11:8:1 compression. I've never changed the plugs myself since the heads and cam were installed, so that's why I'm asking.
Thanks,
BRAD

Re: Which plugs for heads and cam car?
NGK TR6 is a good plug to start with.
It is a lil cooler than stock and works well with most head/cam set ups from what I have seen. This helps with detonation and will sometimes allow a lil more timing before experiencing KR.

Re: Which plugs for heads and cam car?
I couldn't get the NGK plugs at three different places, including Performance Automotive Wholesale (PAW) here in So Cal. So I finally went with Autolite 104s, which are one range cooler than the stock 106. We'll see how that works. I just want to vent and say that plug access SUCKS with SLP headers.
Thanks for the help,
BRAD
