Plug Wire Arcing?

Plug Wire Arcing?
Hiya,
While troubleshooting an electrical short problem (See Here) I checked to see if my new Taylor OTVC wires were arcing. With the car warmed up in the garage with lights off, I could make out a very dim blue aura or halo around some of the plug boots. Additionally I can see a similar halo where the passenger side wires route close to the alternator.
My question is, is this really arcing? I' dont actually see any sparks bridging betweein the boots and wires to other areas, just a very dim blue, intermittent light. And I can only see it in the pitch black, you really have to be looking for it.. I seem to recall a post where Shoebox described this type of halo as possibly normal...
Some background info
The car isn't backfiring or missing noticeably.
I have new spark plug wires, a new opti, old msd blaster coil and an old msd coil wire. The wires are mounted above new ProForm Aluminum Valve covers. Could the old coil or coil wire cause what I'm seeing?
