OK I have been working on this car for about a month (OK on and off but still) My W/P crapped out antifreeze all over the Opti. I hauled it home but started it up and drove it into the garage. It was running like crap kind of skipping and no power etc, but it made it in. I replaced the W/P and went to start the car it did start but ran horrible just barely running for about 5 seconds then died. It would not start and checked and found no spark. Well after reading everything on this board for 2 years now I figured the antifreeze got in the Opti and ruined it. Seemed logical to me. I got an Opti from someone they believe it was good but I had to swap everything from there Aluminum Opti case to mine. There was a bad bearing in there case and a couple of broken screws. I put it all back together and still no spark. Is there an easy way to test an Opti? Does anyone have a working 93 Opti I could borrow I will pay shipping to and from just to diagnose? I dont want to buy another Opti (new or used) if that is not the problem. Are there any suggestions? My Camaro gets 22 MPG and my truck gets 8 MPG its killing me to drive the beast every day LOL.
