piston slap

weather has changed and is much cooler.just changed oil synthetic,but i am now getting piston slap.what should i do.

Common on the LT1.... mine had it right from the factory. Lasted about 2 minutes on a cold start, went away as the engine warmed up, and never caused a problem.

No problem here, I've heard it for almost 10 years.

Just take it easy for the first couple minutes until the parts and oil warm up-

I thought the ls1 had this problem not so much lt1s. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I also get 80psi of oil pressure with 5/30 on start up and when driving down the road; I always thought that was a lot of psi for a stock oil pump. But yes if you have piston slap just be sure to warm the motor before you drive hard; I would idle until it stops. I have a buddy that has this on his ls1 I always tell him he needs a lt1
