Piston help

Could someone tell me where I can get some JE forged pistons for a 95 LT1 stock head cc 3.75 stroke crank, 6 inch rods. I would like to keep the compression ratio around 11:1 because I plan on using a 300 shot of nitrous as well.

Thanks for any leads in advance

Most any speed shop or parts house can order them for you. You can order direct, put you will pay full list that way.

To get ~11:1 with stock chambers you will need a flat top or pretty close. I just took a look at the JE catalog for you and I didn't see a flat top HD nitrous piston. They list the "Extreme Duty" inverted dome and a "Nitrous Dome" series but not a HD flat top. You probably should call them (714) 898-9763. I think Ross makes a piston for what you have in mind. They are at (301)536-0100.

Thanks Rich I really appreciate it. Getting pistons is the only thing holding my up on my stroker build

p.s. What do you think about the TRU pro forged Wiseco pistons? I had them in my last motor shooting around 175-200 and when I took the motor down they still look great. Actually I sold them to a buddy of mine and he is putting them in his stroker motor (actually its mostly my old motor) and was just curious if you or anyone else thought they would hold up well with a lot of nitrous use?

Thanks again in advance

TRW pistons are strong but heavy and are priced nicely. JE is a higher quality product though. Stronger and lighter. If you are using a 300hp nitrous shot you need slugs designed specifically for nitrous with thick crowns, beefy wrist pins, extra material in the ring lands, etc.

Call JE, Ross, or some of the other big names. They usually have knowledgable people answering the phone.
