Picture of Passenger side of block

Does anyone have a picture of the Passenger side of the block? I've looked at shoebox's website and didn't find a big enough picture.

I have a big coolant leak either at the knock sensor, heater hose, or cylinder head steam pipe. I need to know what else is down there.

Hopefully the head gasket isn't blown.

Thanks

freeze plugs are about the only thing you didn't mention.

The steam pipe does not go down on the side of the block. Sounds like you need to get under there and look real close.

The Coolant drips on the exhaust which steams like no tomorrow and puddles under the starter motor.

The problem started Monday night, and in 5 minutes I had lost approximately 2 quarts of coolant.

I'm not sure where its coming from even when I look from underneath. Everything on that back corner of the block has been sprayed with coolant. I went to buy a mirror on a stick last night, but ended up coming back empty handed.

My best guess is the steam pipe spraying. But I'll post back here when I get a hold of a mirror on a stick.

Sounds like a possible head gasket leak too... Hopefully it is the steam pipe at the back of the heads, but it could be a bit worse... That's a lot of fluid to lose out of a simple leaky steam pipe...

it's either that or the head gasket

I guess there is a longshot of the block being cracked, also.

what about the heater hoses that run along the pass. side frame rails to the heater core? that seems like it could be a possibility.

now that I read it again. . . that is a lot of coolant. High possibility of a busted hose. Those are definitely tough to check back there.

Probably a heater hose.

Gads, at that rate it has to be a heater hose.

Started the LT1 again last night and found the leak. :-)

I replaced the heater hoses last year, but ended up using plain hoses that I wrapped in foil and zip tied which worked very well on the areas I wrapped.

However, part of the unwrapped hoses is touching the EGR tube and burnt through. **Home-Simpson DOUGH!!!!!**

I should have this fixed on Saturday. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions.
