Cross Threaded spark plug threads?

I went to change my plugs today to tr55s and went through all of them except for the last one in literally 30 min. When i got to the passengers side, on the frontmost cylinder, i started threading the plug and i noticed after a turn or two it got hard to turn. So i torqued it a bit but then backed off when it didnt get any easier. What should i do? Thread chaser? Thread repair kit? Of should i just torque it in as tight as i can? If i do some sort of thread repair, how do i ensure that i dont get shavings in the cylinder? Thanks guys

first off you should always start your plugs by hand and get at least 2 full turns on the plug before you put a wrench to it. That being said you need a spark plug thread chaser to clean and realign the threads. do a little at a time with grease on the chaser and clean off chaser every couple of threads until it starts going in easy.

ive heard a chaser will work too. Thanks man. One question though, how do i ensure that the chaser is going in the threads that is should be going into? (going in the original threads and not the cross-threaded ones)

You shouldn't have any problems if you thread it in straight. If you booger it to the point that you can't get a plug to tighten sufficeintly, you may have to resort to a helicoil. JMHO
