People with Walbro Fuel Pump INSIDE PLEASE

I did a search and found alot of the answers but the my main question is the seal that was on the bottom of the stock pump doesn't fit on the Walbro. Did you guys just leave it off and use some glue or cement/apoxy? Please let me know! Thanks

I'm in a middle of a walbro install now. Yes the bottom seal from the original pump wont fit, the inlet side of the walbro is bigger than the stock unit. I decided not to use the bucket and just clamped the pump to the bracket. I also managed to fit the original outlet hose.
One thing I learned to do to check everything is in good shape before fixing the tank is to connect the fuel pump (electrical, hoses) and submurge it in a bucket of fuel, have someone start the pump without starting the car and check for leaks. Learnt this the hard way when working on my friend iroc, had to yank the tank 4 times
