PCMforless vs MadZ28 poll
I've tried PCMforless. An obd2 to obd1 pcm mod conversion. I liked their modification form, but, I think they were kind of busy, and, it took a time to get the PCM. I can understand that. But then I had a problem with engine timing. I think the knock sensor is pulling timing and performance really dropped off @ WOT. So, I re-installed my OBD2 PCM and plugged in LT1edit_Ver2.2. 4 months later, it's running strong and I know alot more about the gm PCM. I would like to see a PCM mod list of what was changed as a customer. Nothing long, but a check list 1 page long @ max. I am quite modified, and, maybe it is difficult to tune by mail. (383 - D1 - Meth/ H2o). I don't know what to do with the OBD1 pcm.
just got mine back from madz28. I have a 93 z with a few basic mods. I actually had a hpertech chip in it(It was running so bad I didnt even notice!).Put in Ions chip it was like night and day.better idle, and trottle response.hard to get traction now,I hit it from 15 mph and its sideways! my vote for madz28,but I have heard great things about pcmforless too.snareman
