PCMforless vs MadZ28 poll

i searched and found a good poll already, but it was back in 2004. i figured nearly 3 years later some opinions may have changed, as well as service. who did you go with to tune your LT1, or who would you go with now if you had another chance? i'm thinking about getting one very soon, in the next few days. i just want to see everyones new opinions

im wondering how accurate the pole will be because how many people have actually used both to tune? most people will just vote for who they used, unless they werent happy. I voted for madz28, but am not for sure if pcmforless could have got me more power or not. If so, i vote for them. It would be awesome to get both of them to do there best tune and dyno them on the same car, to see who got more power. But then this would lead most people to that certain tuner, and may put the other out of business. Im a nice guy, and i think both are supporting venders, so lets keep them both in business.

yea i know...i guess thats why its so hard to choose. i guess i just wanted to see if more people decided on one over the other, but so far it seems to be almost dead even like the last poll a few years ago which ended like 20-21

Used one but not the other..MadZ28. My experience was that a mail order tune was very driveable and gained good power for my car when all the mods were bolt-ons..

as soon as I did head and cam changes a mail order tune became a good place to start.. basically it made the car just driveable enough to take it to Carolina Auto Masters to get it dynotuned (when I lived on the east coast). Then the dynotune gained 30rwhp and a ton more driveability..

I didn't vote because I only have experience with one, PCMFORLESS. I will say the Customer Service I got from Bryan as far as communication, and turn around time has been incredible. I have not installed the PCM yet (it just arrived yesterday), but so far I am very impressed with his service.

pcmforless is great

Bryan is really quick with getting your pcm back to you
I especially liked how he gives you high priority and good service even if you are ordering a $50 reflash

No ****?

As if we all didnt know a dyno tune would be better than mail order? Not everyone has access to a dyno, or someone who can tune. I had one of my cars dynoed and asked about tuning, they said to provide my own software. I wouldnt want them doing anything with my car, and wish i wouldnt have let them dyno it. I think these mail order tuners do a great job for the price they offer. If we all had a dyno shop setting next door, and could all afford to have a tune done, we would.
