Question PCM tuning, please post experiences!

Here's the story,

I want to buy an OBDI conversion package from MADZ28.com but I want to know if anyone has done this and what results you had? Before and after dyno numbers? SOTP difference? My car is mostly stock, mac single cat headers, borla cat-back, off-road pipe, tb bypass, ram air w/k&N filter, taylor wires, ngk tr55 plugs and an lt4 km.

Also, what temp do you recommend to have the fans turned on, I will be running a 160 degree thermostat.

Thanks

He did my OBDI conversion PCM. I don't have any before and after numbers for you and don't trust by but-o-meter but the car feels good. My AIR pump was shot and I had the SES light on for over a year. It was worth the cost just to get rid of the freekin light. After the conversion I was also able to eliminate the EGR and cats. Here is the list of changes I had done; RPM limit adjusted up; elimination of EGR, AIR and rear O2's; changed fan activation temps for 160 thermo; desensitized knock sensing; power tune. He can also do other things if needed and it's plug and play. I wouldn't expect to gain a lot of power though on a near stock car.

What are you trying to accomplish with this conversion?

Basically,
I'm wanting to ;

!egr
!cags
!air
!cats
lower fan on temp for 160 thermostat
tune for my free flowing exhaust

I was told that I will definantly feel the difference.

Thanks

You don't need to convert to OBD1 to do any of that.

I had Bryan do my tune. I had my fans turns on at 170 and 190.
