PCM Tuning 95 Z28

I've searched in the forums.
Visited many sites.
I am now more confused then ever.
(Even after Shoebox and Inguneer primers)

I want the ability to change PCM parameters in my 95 Z28 Vert.
I assume if I am able to change, I'll also be able to read and interpret the parameters and troublecodes. (This is scanning?)
I know my options are limited..... 1995 OBDI with OBDII interface.

What are you using and what are you able to do with it.

I like to DIY and I certainly enjoy saving money.
But I'll part with the duckets if it makes sense...

Many Thanks
Marc

Thanaks for the site, but I want to be able to tweak myself.

Anyone have other suggestions?

You don't need a OBDII --> OBDI conversion on a 95.

I think "Marc95z28ConvM6" understands that.... its "SMUJeremy" who is a bit confused.

Don't ignore LT1_Edit for programming, and the bundled pcmcomm scanning software.

Re: PCM Tuning 95 Z28

which one on tunercat.com is the tuner program for our camaro's? I have never looked into tunercat before because I like lt1-edit. However, a friend of mine is looking into a cheaper method. Is it the one on the left hand side of the frame that says "Tuner" for $69?

Yes, you need "Tuner" and the correct definition file for the engine/year. ~$100 for the whole deal.

I think I paid 110 for lt1-edit, I cant remember exactly. So I guess lt1 edit would be better considering its almost the same price and I already know how to use it.

Re: PCM Tuning 95 Z28

When the OBD-I version of LT1_Edit first came out, there were "limited" and "expert" versions available. The limited version was just for basic stuff like gears, tire diameter, rev limiter, etc. That version only cost around $100. You had to opt for the expert version ($200) to get access to the reall tuning tables, and the pcmcomm scanning bundle. I don't think they offer the limited version any more.
