PCM reflash?
There doesnt seem to be as many choices as there used to be for LT1 tuners (well in my area anyway). Mail order seems to be a popular way to go but you will be down as you have to remove it and mail it. Personally I had a custom tune put on my car...a world a diff a good tune can make. Moe Bailey handles my tunes (aka. MoeHorsePower), hes out of san antonio Tx. Best bet is to find someone local that can tune it and do a ride along to test the tune or a mail order with Madz28 or PCM4less...dyno tunes are nice but really not worth the money unless you have alot of mods.
I just bought a 2nd pcm...doing the obd1 conversion...Moe is tuning that one for me so I will have 2 pcms programed for my car...nice reassurance to have that second one ready to go if needed.
My .02cents...btw I dont post on here much reason for my post count
Kind of new to this board..been on ls1tech for a while.
Good luck!

Repairing your fried one is about $50. Used PCMs usually go for $50-100.
If you're going to be messing with programming much, go ahead and get it socketed.
