PCM question?

I'm not sure if I'm asking this in the right section or not, but what all is involved to run a 94-95 PCM in place of a 93 ECM?

Is the only thing you have to do is tune out the MAF sensor?

What else would there be? Does anyone know if any of the tuning places sell setups like this already, PCMforless, MADZ28, etc?

Or you could add an MAF sensor to your 93.

You would have to rewire the injectors, since your 93 has two wires to fire all the injectors in each bank simulatneously, while the 94 and up has 8 individual wires to fire the injectors in sequence. You would also have to convert to 4-wire heated O2 sensors, since the 94 PCM checks the heater circuits. Then you would have to bypass the PCM connections for the electronic M6 controls, like the skip shift, which your 93 M6 does not have. I think the 93 IAC motor functions differently than the 94+. And someone indicated the 93 has the fuel pump interlocked to the oil pressure, which I can find no evidence of on the 94+ cars. That does not go through the PCM though.

The speedometer is also controlled differently in the 94+ cars, within the PCM.

WOW! There is a lot more to it then I thought. Think I will just stick with burning chips rather than going through all of that. Thanks for all the info!
