I just installed my LE2 heads last weekend and used ARP bolts and thier thread sealer as instructed. However, I recenlty read online that some people claimed to have problems with leaking when using the ARP sealer.

Is this a concern?

 

I used it the first time I installed my heads and had trouble with leaking head studs. After I pulled the heads to fix it I just used black rtv and I never had trouble with them again.

 

I don't believe there is a problem with the product. But with the application.
I can only go by my own experiance. I've use the Teflon sealant on both bolts and studs with NO problems.

Had problems with mine on the head bolts and rocker studs. Now I'm using permatex #2.

 

I used the permatex also.

 

No problem with mine either.
