pcm for less, yes or no??

just got done doing a cam, rockers, lifters, convertor etc and was wondering if i should get the car tuned. the idle is pretty rough and it doesnt seem to drive all that great when rpm's are at 1500 and below. what will tuning the pcm do for me and should i do it?

Yes! Anytime a new CAM is installed you should get a tune done. The tune will most likely clear up your problems.

What size CAM?

If u have the money, the best thing is to get it Dyno tuned...

If not, then AT THE LEAST...get a mail order tune i.e www.madz28.com or www.pcmforless.com

I just got done with the 306(on a 114 LSA), cloyes double roller, electric w/p, mac 95 style headers, double valve springs, 1.6 SA pro-magnum rockers, off-road pipe, !EGR,!AIR and off-road pipe. Had brian program everything, car started right up on the first crank, Idled perfect at 1k to11k. No ses lights. It does have some came surge if u dont give it alittle gas when u take off but its not a prob., just gotta re-learnhow to drive the car, and the 4.10's dont help either. Might be a tad bit rich but that should work well with the 150 shot I really havent got to hit it real hard yet, prob. hit 6k but it started spinning I can tell u this cam has a serious sounding lope it sounds like a sounds like a 9 sec car, its insane. So far the tuning is perfect. Only got 55 miles on it and I think the opti went, not getting fire to the plugs. Working on it now. Anyways, pcmforless is the **** JMO

I went with Bryan at PCMFORLESS and he did a great job. He's been very helpful with my knock dilema. Also, if you can download freescan... send him the file after the download and he can really dial in your tune...
