By passing the o2???

I have a 95 z28 and i was wondering if there was any way to bypass the o2 sensors??? is this a bad idea ??? any one ever done it before, since my o2 have been getting way to dirty lately and just burnin' out on me.......thanx alot

All you need to do is set the PCM to operate continuously in "open loop". You will lose the ability of the PCM to adjust the long term fuel corrections for modifications, probably lose a little fuel mileage, and run the chance of fouling the plugs if something causes it to run a little rich. I run an aftemarket ECU, open loop and no problems.... but I don't really care about fuel mileage because the car only runs 1/4-mile at a time. And I've got a lot of dyno time setting up the tuning correctly, and realize I will need to put more dyno time on it for any changes I make.

If you plan to drive the car keep the O2s and correct whatever problem is fouling them.
