Passing AIR Diagnostic on '93 Z28

Hi,
I have a 1993 Camaro Z28 that is equipped with SLP Headers in which I decided not to replace the AIR system, nor the catalytic converter. Unfortunately, of course, this has lead to the SES light being set on long trips with the P-Code matching for an AIR fault. Does anybody know what the VCM performs to cause that diagnostic to fail? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm loooking to sell the vehicle and do not want to replace the AIR system, but at the same time do not want to try and sell it with a SES light.

As far as I am aware, all the ECM checks is that the electrical circuit to the relay is intact. Every 93-95 I have seen with AIR delete did not set the SES light/DTC code as long as there was a good fuse in the circuit, even with the pump unplugged.

We can take the code away. Its not an airpump fault but a quad drive modual 2 failure.. Alot of time fan switches will set them of.

Thanks for the info guys!
I do have a fan switch on my vehicle...you're thinking that is what is causing the problem? I'll get a Tech on the ALDL to read the PCode to be sure.

You have a 93... you don't need a scanner. You can flash the codes on the SES light, by shorting the ALDL pins. You already said you were getting the code for AIR. Are you now saying that isn't the code?

Alot of people think a DTC 26 is airpump (It maybe for the 94-95)'s on the 93's 26 is a QDM2 failure. as far as I know QDM2 controls fans and airpump as well as a few other things..

Its basically a control block that grounds out certain relays to control fans, ac, air pump, etc.
