Painting valve covers
Painting valve covers
I am trying to finish up the rebuild of my sons new motor(1995 Z28). But the valve covers had so much build up inside that wouldn't come out in the parts washer that I completely sandblasted them to bare metal. I wasn't thinking about them being steel and rusting on the inside. So my question is what to use to seal or paint the inside with. Anyone had any luck with this?
Thanks. I was thinking the oil should help, but I've seen some with rust before and just wanted to be proactive since it is a complete rebuild. And yep break cleaner will take off most anything. I will clear coat the ceramic paint so it will clean easy and prevent stuff from soaking into the paint.
