Pacesetter LT's & Passenger side floor problem.

Been working on putting in the Pacesetter LT's. The drivers side went in and was tightened down in about 20 minutes, but for 3 hours, my cousin and I have been unable to bolt the passenger side in. It seems that the header is against the heat shield, not allowing us to get in the additional 1/4" up in order to bolt it in. Anyone else run into this? What did you do?

Yes this was the case for me too. I took the heat shield off at that location. Reformed some other shields out of it to protect the brake and fuel lines on the driverside in 2 areas.

Thanks guys. The original idea was the hammer, but I ended up taking the head shield off, and using the small piece of it as a heat shield for the starter wires, engine ground wires. Header went in nice and smooth after the heat shield was gone.
