There have been two periods of Comp beehive failures. Blue stripe vs. no blue stripe was relevant to the failures several years ago. It was not relevant to the more recent failures.

But I'm willing to bet that the first failures were when PAC was making them. I have nothing against PAC or whoever was making them back then, I'm just pointing out that it's pretty much impossible to expect cheap springs to be perfect.
