p1441 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Flow During Non-Purge
Hello all. First timer here. Engine light came on and my mechanic says I get a code P1441. So he changes the charcoal canister and the solenoid. thinks he fixes it, yet the code keeps coming back and he's at a loss. Vacum hoses are not crossed. Everything he says checks out. Light comes on every other day after reset after about a couple minutes of driving. Can't seem to find any other ideas on what could be wrong since it seems everything been changed out.

A couple of other things.
Charcoal canister has been replaced. As has the vacum switch, the purge solenoid and the electric vacum switch.

Re: p1441 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Flow During Non-Purge
The main problem there, is a vacuum leak, an obstructed or craked hose or the valve switch faulty. Replace the hoses too. Clean the Throttle body passages (do you have K&N or Moroso CAI?, the filter oil plus the dirt can clogg them)
I suggest you to use an air pump, yes, those used to inflate or deflate inflatable toys (i found mine in WalMart). So, this devices can suck the air from the vacuum hoses ( the one that came from the canister mainly) and clean them from carbon debris. With this procedure I could clear the DTC P01441 from my car.
Just sharing my experience...
Hope this helps you

ADD: I suggest you not to overfill the gas tank, the exceeded gas goes to the canister and solves the fumes absorbent there). Ohh I have the hoses P/N's too, if you need them.
