overheating problem's?
ok so my 94 camaro is overheating like fast splashing water...has anyone had this before.....i changed temp sensore fans are working water pump good mmmmm what can it be and the thermestat is new ( if thats how u spell it) l0l helppp thank you
overheating
it was actually overheating before and after the changes....and yes i leaked everything.....its like overheating fast like 2-3 min and boom hits red and water bursting every were??????????
actually shoebox helped me with advice, basically had same problem plus my fans werent operating. I bled the coolant lines and topped off and car has been operating at proper temp. No matter the new thermo, waterpump and coolant it needs to be bled any air and for some reason this engine is very touchy.... good luck
also check your hose routing on the 94's if someone else has worked on it in the past its easy to get the hoses wrong without a diagram...
i had a friend install my engine several months ago, he wasnt sure of the hose routing and he had a couple hoses wrong, and the system was building pressure then passing it through the overflow tank, causing it to overheat(temp would spike up almost just below the red then i could rev it up and it would pass the coolant and cool off quick) then basicly belch a small amount of coolant out the overflow tank..
i noticed the hoses somewhat when i was getting ready to do a throttle body bypass, i went to shoeboxes site and downloaded the 94-95 coolant hose diagram and found my steampipe hose was routed through the throttle body then to the y-hose on the driver side radiator hose , this was wrong. i corrected the routing and also completed the throttle body bypass correctly.
car runs cool now, 180-190 degrees in 100* heat.. i havent noticed the 2nd fan come on yet, i programmed it to come on at 195..
i do still have a problem with coolant coming from my overflow tank though, every now and then when i stop and shut the car off coolant comes out the overflow tank, not much, just a little.. i think i need a new radiator cap, not sure.. i check my coolant once a week, and its usually about 1qt. low, dont know if this is normal or not, wouldnt think its normal... i do know there is no coolant in my oil, no coolant/steam coming out the exhaust and no coolant smell out the exhaust, ive checked my plugs and they are clean..

The required diagram is the 93/94.

94/95 do not have the same connections... 93/94 route the steam pipe directly to the radiator. 95-97 route it to the throttle body.
For the originsl poster..... what does this mean:
Do you mean there is coolant bubbling out of the coolant reservoir?

You can take it to a radiator shop and have them run a pressure test on it. They will check for leaks and be able to tell you if you have a blown head gasket or not. This is the rout I would take since you've already tried a few of the basics w/ no luck.
Shoebox has photos of numerous components on a 95 LT1:
