Over the axle pipe

I'm going with a powerstick right off of my 3" y-pipe, and need a 3" mandrel bent pipe to go over the axle, from there I'll custom make my own exits. I was thinking this pipe would work:

It's for a thirdgen, but it should be able to be adapted easily enough.

Does anyone know of a fourth gen specific pipe?

This is the one I built from a pile of bends.
That pipe from Summet looks close but will probably will need fitting.

If there had been a 4" pipe already made up I would have bought it.

MODERATOR NOTE: Let's just post the links, the photos are too large and make it difficult to read the text in all the posts.

Re: Over the axle pipe

I just bought some 90/45/60* short bends(6"on either side of the bend) and cut the angles right to fit and welded it up. I also bought some 4" exhaust tubing. The merge was also purchased. There is only 1 weld joint per section and I made the mounting brackets and went to the Camaro salvage yard and got some more rubber hangers and mounted them where they needed to go to support the mass.
This was NOT a 15 minute job but I didn't work on it every day either. Lot of work cutting and fitting to make it neat.

Here is the "Y" pipe and merge. Its 2=3-1/2" to 4" out the back.Bought the muffler too.

Ya don't get this kind of work from a muffler shop.

Thanks for the complement.

Re: Over the axle pipe

It should it's 1300 degree paint. Don't know 'bout rocks and that stuff though.
If yours is new ya will have to sand it good for it to stick.

Re: Over the axle pipe

I had VHT header paint last for a while, then it starting flaking off. I had it on my headers though.

The metal HAS to be clean and rough. We sanded and metal prepped this set up.

The metal HAS to be clean and rough. We sanded this with 80 grit and metal prepped it.
