OVC Wires?

Hey, would the stock length wires work if I just bought the over the valve cover looms? Or do I have to buy those wires you put together yourself? I'm trying to make sure when I install my headers i don't burn any wires. Any other ideas or opinions are appreciated! Thanks

You'd need a universal set of wires, and need to cut them to proper length. It sounds complicated, but it's VERY easy. Worst part is installing those damn boots over the wires.

Talking Need some advice

I am also considering going with OVC wires. However, I was also thinking about going with Taylor's "409" race wires. So, could I get a universal kit (from Summit) with the 90-deg boots and then the looms and make myself a kit? Or would I be better off just getting the Taylor 8mm OVC Kit from Thunder? Are the 409s any better than the 8mm's? Any advice is appreciated!

arent the 409s 10mm. i think you would have a tough time keeping the 10mms clear of everything on the passenger side. here are some pics of mine.

10mm look cool.. but unless your car is a 8 second car, really no gain by going to them.. and yes I also think they would be awfully close to the passenger side primaries
