OTVC plug wire boots - any tips?

These things are becoming a pain in my *** and in my thumbs. Anyone have any tips other than putting the silicone on them to slide them on? that doesnt seem to help all that much

I wet them down with water to make them more slick.

pain in the ***. measuring, cutting...no big deal. Its when I tried to plug them into the opti is where it sucked. I may have been too liberal on the amount of grease I put on because the boot just wants to slide down and not plug into the opti. I tried to do it and screwed up two wires...wish I went with the stock routing now...feel like I wasted $120.

how come no one makes these things pre-made anymore?? I would rather have paid a little extra for them to be made and I just put them on.

cause of all the different ways to route them.

for mine, i just spit on mine a little bit and slid it on in but mine are MSD's and u have to put the spark plug boot on those. u can even use a torx-screw driver to kind of give the connector a little push, but too much can cause problems w the connection

I just saw that they can do custom made wires, and was wondering if they can do LT1 wires if I gave them the lengths, and how much they are(I would call but they aren't open)

The only people that ever did it that I know of was elite spark plugs, they arced severly between each other and were a down right horrible company. But I am not going to open up that can of worms again.

yeah, I have read a lot about them in my searches. I would like to route mine on the pass. side behind the alternator and down the side of the accessory bracket. Anyone out there know the measurments I need to run them that way? If not i'll have to wait until I can get back to my parents house where the car is

EDIT: found this thread, but not sure how they were routed http://camaross.com/forums/showthrea...light=magnecor
