ordering clutch tom, slp disc and mcleod disc?

i am rebuilding a motor right now for a summer swap in the Z and i am going with a 230/236 and phils econoport heads. I hope to be in the 370ish rwhp range and am pretty sure the SLP clutch won't work for me. I know all the pressure plates are the same. I only want to have to do the clutch once so i have eliminated spec from my options. I am really leaning toward a SLP PP and mcleod disc i found one post with DonSS having this set up does anyone else have this? Would i need anything else to get this to work like a adjustable slave cylinder? or just order the PP and disc and run it on a stock flywheel? I think i am going to order my cam and clutch tom. so any input would help. thanks

I got that combo (SLP FW, SLP PP & McLeod disk) to work for me. HOWEVER, I found that the discs may be lightly different thicknesses? I am uncertain. Because when we replaced everything and fired it up there was something dragging. When we pulled the tranny. We noticed that the clutch "arm" (I can't think of the correct term) was dragging on the PP slightly. We could not determine anything else was out of order. So we used a die grinder to notch it a little. After it was back together everything worked just fine. It has been in about a year and works o.k. It seems to hold better than the oem like SLP clutch disk.

when you mean clutch arm do you mean clutch fork? or the slave arm to engage the clutch fork against the throwout bearing? I keep reading everyone has heard this set up will work but i want to know for sure you are the only one i have seen that has said it works and has the set up.

Yes, I meant clutch fork. I don't know it this had anything to do with the small glitch we experienced but I had the SLP FW milled .008. The reason; I had a tranny input shaft seal leak that ruined my clutch that created some minor hot spots on the FW.
